The microgrid test bed incorporates a number of different resources, including a 100kW PV solar system, a 10kW solar carport with EV charging stations; a 500kW resistive load bank, and automated distribution grid equipment, including smart meters and sensors. The experimental results conducted at various operating conditions verify that the employed control strategy can safely and robustly transfer between grid-tie and island modes.
